Dillon and Erin meet at an open foundry night at Saginaw Valley State University and had their first date at a Saginaw Spirit game after being introduced by friends.  After they graduated, they both moved to Metro Detroit  to start their careers. They now own a home in Shelby Twp. and are excited to be getting married in 2026.

DTW is the bigger airport offering more options for a direct flight but is a further drive to the venue than a flight from Flint Bishop Airport. It will be an hour and forty minute drive to the venue.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

Flint Bishop Airport is the closest international airport to the wedding. Flying into Flint is a shorter drive to the venue. It is a 45 minute drive to the venue.

Best Western Lapeer Inn has express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. The property provides a 24-hour front desk and an ATM for guests. The hotel offers 3-star accommodations with an indoor pool, fitness center and hot tub. Bishop International Airport is 25 miles from the property. The wedding has set up a room block at this hotel. if you are interested, please call the hotel directly and book a room mentioning that you are booking with the Siefert/Ruhlman party. The room block is limited and needs to be booked by April 27th 2026. On the night of the wedding, we plan to have a shuttle to escort guests to and from the hotel and the venue. running throughout the wedding and reception.

Frankenmuth is about 40 minutes from the venue and downtown Lapeer and has several restaurants, shops, wineries and other activities for entertainment. They are famous for their chicken dinners and Bronner's Christmas Shop.

The Detroit Grand Prix will be May 29-May 31, 2026 in Downtown Detroit. This is approximately an hour and a half from Lapeer.
